History[]
Elena's origins are unknown. Although she is listed as a "near human," her deviation from the species norm is not apparent from her physical appearance. The earliest records of her past begin in 10 ABY, when she married New Republic StarOps pilot Lt. Markelan Korminos while living on Corellia. That same year, Elena conceived their first child. In 11 ABY, during the Second Battle of Mon Calamari, Lt. Korminos was shot down over the planet's surface. His death could not be confirmed, however, and he is currently listed as missing-in-action. Soon thereafter, Elena gave birth to their son, Jansen Korminos. She cared for him until 14 ABY, when she placed him in the care of Sgt. Peleas, a personal friend of her husband, and joined the New Republic FleetOps in hopes of locating her husband.
She finished her training quickly, owing to her already-extensive knowledge of security systems. She claims this comes from her training as a civilian programmer on Corellia before her marriage, but the nature of her expertise suggests otherwise. Her first post was the NRSD Reprisal, where she currently serves as an Intelligence Liaison Officer.

Elena tends to be nervous, a character trait that usually displays itself in awkward laughing and smiling. She generally manages to control herself while on duty, when she comes across as prim and distant. She is almost obsessive about her job, being a natural perfectionist. She does not easily make enemies, however, and will fall all over herself to maintain good relations with everyone, regardless of their rank.
