Daca, or as more commonly known by Humans as the Calamari system, is the home star system of the Mon Calamari and Quarren people. It lies out on the Outer Rim, beyond the Tion Hegemony, and represents perhaps one of the furthest sectors from the Core.

The Mon Calamari and Quarren peoples have either colonized or utilized all the planets in this system, as well as branching out to several other star systems in the sector. Some thirty billion inhabitants called the system home, and most of the other planets and moons in the system had carefully cultivated orbits, adjusted so as to give the star system peace and stability.
