- The Imperial Gala of 16 ABY is held on Coruscant.
- The New Republic engages in operations to take supplies from Imperial border depots, later to become known as Operation Scatterswipe.
- New Republic and Imperial forces square off over the planet Dathomir. Task Force Inquisitor along with the HIMS Malevolence crush the raiders. This battle became known as the Dathomir Raid/Ambush.
- With a lull in activity, the Navy's high command gather as much of the Second Fleet as possible. The assembled units are divided into attackers and defenders and then thrown into the Ord Mantell Wargames, exercises that include a Caspian task force and span the system.
- After months of planning and infiltration, Imperial agents spark the Dac Civil War, plunging Dac into a civil war between Quarren and Mon Calamari natives.
